What stays on your PC
The cars you analyze, your notes, photos, bids, repair rates and settings are kept on your own computer. We do not receive them.
What AUCTLANE sends us
- Your subscription: your licence number, which plan you are on, how many cars and AI damage checks you used this month, the app version, and a code that counts your PCs (it does not identify the computer).
- Problems, if you allow it (“Help improve AUCTLANE” in Settings → Privacy, on unless you turn it off): an analysis that failed and its error message, a button pressed again and again, a car you marked “This looks wrong” with your note, and a sale price next to AUCTLANE’s estimate. These name the car (year, make, model) — never your passwords, auction accounts or bids. You can see the full list in the app.
To work out a car’s value
To price a car, AUCTLANE looks up that model (year, make, model, trim, kilometres, your area) in public listings and market data. When you ask for an AI damage check, the car’s photos are sent to our AI provider for that check only.
What we never do
AUCTLANE never logs in to your auction accounts, never places bids, and only reads an auction page when you press its button. We do not sell your information.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email and subscription status; your card details go to Stripe only.
Questions or deletion
Ask us to see or delete what we hold about you: write to the support address on your Stripe receipt. Uninstalling AUCTLANE stops all reports from your copy.
